03/25/2006: "Rollin' w/ RideOut USA"
I just got back from a casual ride I heard about from fellow motorcycle nut Kasey that was being put on by RideOut USA.
I told my neighbor about it and he asked to come along too. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned (especially on a casual ride).
We were supposed to meet at a motorcycle dealership in Irvine at 10:15am.
My neighbor and I got ready in time, but with having to stop for gas and cash . . we ended up running a bit late. L.A. traffic didn't help matters much. I almost got taken out by an idiot cager while I was lane splitting.
It's a good thing I was on my toes and Robyn is such a responsive bike ![]()
We got there in time enough to see a bunch of the pack heading over to a gas station before the ride. We followed them into the station and fueled up too. We all went back over to the dealership and then left immediately, I didn't even get a chance to take my helmet off or get any pictures.
I did get this sweet picture of the pack while we all waited at a stop light.
Once we got to the Baja Fresh in Seal Beach, we all stopped to eat. We started off with 20 riders and managed to somehow pick up 6 more when we arrived.

After we all ate, the next part of the ride was being planned. We saw this huge dog outside of Baja Fresh. My neighbor was actual bold enough to pet it.
The weather was starting to get crappy, and we had a good hour ride just to get home. Most of the pack decided to head south and go to Cook's Corner. My neighbor and I decided it was time to head back and try to beat the rain.
It was a good decision, part way back, we got hit with a a light shower. We made it back just in time to put the bikes away and watch the shower turn into actual rain.
Supposed to dry up by morning, that's good cause I'm hoping to ride over to the Rock Store tomorrow to watch the 1st MotoGP race of the season. Can't believe Vale is 9th on the grid
